第九十五讲——美国北卡州立大学景乃桓教授学术报告

摘要：We present an iteractive determinant type formula for irreducible characters of the Hecke algebra using vertex operator realization of Schur functions. As consequences, Ram's Murnaghan-Nakayama formula is reproved （we also obtained other M-N formulas) and a general character formula of character values is obtained. In particular, new compact character formulas for certain shapes of Young diagrams are found, and new computation of the bitrace of Halverson-Leduc-Ram independent of Kostka-Foulkes polynomials is given. This is joint work with Ning Liu.

报告人简介：

景乃桓，美国北卡州立大学教授。曾获国家海外杰出青年基金 （2008），2004-05年德国洪堡学者，2003年美国富尔布莱特学者。作为客座教授多次访问美国伯克利数学研究所、德国波恩马普数学研究所、德国莱比锡马普应用数学所、京都大学数理研究所等著名数学中心。研究方向：代数学和数学物理（量子群和无限维李代数，表示论，代数组合，量子信息）等。在国际数学刊物上发表100多篇论文，编辑著作五部。代表性杂志有：Invent. Math., PNAS, Duke Math. J, Adv. Math.等。
